Norwalk Hospital TV Show Provides Wellness Information
In a world where endless health information is a click away through the worldwide web, Norwalk Hospital provides important health information from its renowned experts through the click of a TV remote control. Norwalk Hospital and Cablevision Local Programming produce a popular television show, Health Talk, that broadcasts on Cablevision Local Programming Channel 84 each evening. Hosted by two Norwalk Hospital physicians, Dr. Eric Mazur of Weston, chairman, Department of Medicine at Norwalk Hospital, and Dr. Andrea Peterson of Fairfield, an internist and hospitalist, the show includes interviews with physicians and health professionals on important health issues and wellness topics.
Upcoming Topics
"Sleep Problems in Children," is the topic that will air the week of September 29th. The guests are Dr. Lewis Kass, pediatric sleep expert and Price Snedaker, a mother whose children experienced sleep problems.
"Advancements in Hip Surgery" will be discussed by Dr. Nicholas Polifroni of Westport, chief of orthopaedics at Norwalk Hospital and an orthopaedic surgeon with Coastal Orthopaedics during the week of October 6th. A patient and an internal medicine specialist, Dr. Basil Papaharis of New Canaan, will join Dr. Polifroni to share his personal success story.
Dr. Claudio Petrillo of Westport, chairman of the Norwalk Hospital Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, will discuss prevention, symptoms and treatments for stroke on the show that airs the week of October 13th. Dr. Paul Gagne of Darien, vascular surgeon, will discuss the latest treatments for "Deep Vein Thrombosis" during his interview on Health Talk the week of October 20th.
