Norwalk Hospital Hosts Blood Drive on April 28

Norwalk Hospital is sponsoring an American Red Cross Blood Drive on Tuesday, April 28 from 8:00 A.M. to 1:15 P.M. in the Patio Room on the fifth floor of the hospital.

According to the American Red Cross, every two seconds someone in the United States needs blood. Blood is needed for emergencies and to help people with cancer, blood disorders, anemia, sickle cell and other illnesses.

Most healthy people who are at least 17 years of age and weigh 110 pounds or more are eligible to donate blood every 56 days.

Norwalk Hospital sponsors blood drives regularly. To make an appointment to give blood at Norwalk Hospital on April 28, please contact the hospital’s Community Relations Department at (203) 852-2250.
